track day tyre pressures
Discussion
Ah, Castle Coombe ! I love that track, or at least I loved it more before the stupid chicane (Bobbies I think) on the back straight....
A Noble is awesome there, it just eats the straights, just watch out at Quarry (first right hander after the straight), it's up hill to a right hander. Can easily catch you out, and the armco is just a short trip over the gravel.....
Personally I tend to run 20psi front 30 psi back on the track, and adjust them depending on the way the car is handling and the conditions.

Fill them up to 20/30 on the way to the track.
Do a few laps till they're roasting, then let air out till they are 20/30 again.
You need to remember to fill them up again afterwards, as once its home and cold again, they'll be about 14 and 22 psi.
You can always get them filled with Nitrogen to save messing about so much.

Combe was 1 fast track untill they added that chicane...mind you its not exactly slow now...last year i was getting 140mph at the end of the long straight leading 2 Quarry...and Quarry does catch a lot of people out, have seen a few accidents there.
so it seems 20psi front and 30 psi back is the way to go.
would this change if it was a hot day?
ps.think i will give the Nitrogen a miss...thanks anyway

What about different pressures for the inside/outside tyres?
As stated by Mr Noble Karting god, run the car for a few laps. Then normalize the pressures. Should see the outside tires slight higher than the inners.

Jools, what I was saying was should you run on different pressures like pro-racers do?
