Need some help...

Just purchased a set of 19" Carrera S wheels from a 997. Want to fit them to my Boxster (2005 - 987 model).

Fronts are no problem, but the rears have the 305mm wide tires (11jx19, 305/30/19, ET51).

Does anyone have any experience with fitting ultra-wide wheels to a Boxster? Will these fit (with/without spacers)?

Or am I screwed and need to sell them again?

Thanks in advance,
Col

i'd hazard a guess that even if they did fit you'd TOTALLY shag the handling.

TechArt sells a set of wheels for the 987 Boxster that are 11jx19 with a 50mm offset, but they require 15mm spacers. These wheels would only be 1mm off in offset so was thinking they MIGHT actually work.

they might actaully fit. my point is i'd be suprised if they actually "worked". the suspension geometry simply wasn't designed for them.

I'd be interested in knowing more. What is the offset of the 911 wheels and what is the offset of the boxster wheels please?
