Just had my service, major one , plus tyres , plus expansion tank etc. 1937 quid !!!

Anyway I told them about my psm and abs light coming on in my 996. They charged me 63 quid to put it through their machine and assured me it was all ok and they have checked it, a driver went out and booted it and it was fine. Well I just got back from OPC and guess what, the poxy lights come on again mad

Can someone tell me what I need to buy to fix this as I am sure I can get it cheaper then from an OPC . Cheers.

More money mad

Persist with opc you've paid them money to sort it out which they haven't. If no joy there I reckon 2 carefully aimed bullets from a 9mm pistol should stop them from coming on again!

yeah, i'd argue they have charged you to diagnose this issue, so any further diagnosis to identify the fault they charged to look for should be free of charge.

So do I go back to them to get this part or go elsewhere? Any idea how much they are? Oh and does your psm and abs deactivate once these lights are on ?

Sorry if you've said elsewhere Woogie but do you have a warranty?

Either way, I'd get back to the dealership manager and have a moan, I had to complain after my recent service (he had to call me back as he was busy taking another complaint lol!) and he was very apologetic and offered to send out a test driver to my house to help diagnose a problem they hadn't sorted. Even if it turns out to be something they want to charge £££ to fix you can take the car back and off to an indy.

I'm pretty certain it's a mass airflow sensor (MAF) that's gone bust woogster ole fruit.

They're pretty infamous for going pop , and should be changed under warranty. If the OPC tell you it's not a warrantied item , then the guys here will tell you how to get the exact same Bosch part for a lot less ....

Hope this helps ...

Also , if this part is under warranty , look for the diagnosis money back ... It's worth a shot...

MAN! You've been played like a banjo.

Service is £530 menu price.
Tyres are £550 s set from Bracknell tyres
I got a header tank f.o.c.

Where's the other grand come from?? Plugs? Fuel filter? Belt? Brake fluid?

Did they ALL need doing??!
