Chaps, the Ferrari guys are gonna hate me for this but I've just seen a nice 996 TT in Basalt Black with Black interior, 2000 car, 1 owner with 50K on the clock that I am seriously interested in cool

What would be a good dealer price for this????

Also I know if I search there's gonna be lots of stuff on these motors but is there a website that has the specs and options that were available for the TT at that time and anywhere that has details on any possible performance upgrades???

Also best insurance company you guys have used??

Thanks for you help....T

Agreed it should be somewhere around £40-41k.

RSJ and Northways have had similar aged cars up for around that for a while now

Thanks chaps, up at 42K but reckon they'll come down a touch.

Kayc you cheeky bar steward, Oh how I remember embarrassing and deafening those Porsche drivers in my 360!!! But yep, heard of DMS so will see what they can offer

In regards to options/equipment, where's best to look at to compare??

I'd take it to Fearnsport for the mods and would recommend depending on budget

Revo Map (with thingumyjig for changing settings)
Millteck exhaust with 100 cell cats
EVOMS short shift
EVOMS diverter valves
Carbon front PU and engine cover
Suspension upgrade
Pagid pads and racing fluid

drive it first. enjoy it. THEN if you want to, start upgrading. hell, you might not even want to upgrade it.

Thx for that egbert.

It's a manual car, I need to go back to manual, last car I had a manual box was the Cerbera.

Been looking at the spec of the car and I don't think it has that much, or maybe I'm wrong..It's got Cruise, Elec Heated Mem Seats, SAT NAV...having the NAV does that mean it's got PCM???

search is your friend... i've just bought one and have looked back through most of the TT related topics over the past couple of years. you'll find all the usual questions answered therein.

cruise was optional iirc (think it was standard on 04+ cars)
Satnav prior to 52 plate cars was PCM1. Easy way to tell is whether there is a tape deck in the car or a cd player.

Cheers chap, yeah I think it's the older Sat Nav. Search doesn't come up at work and nor do the other drop down menu's at the top, Proxy Server issue I think so will do a good search later this evening at home. Been doing a bit on google and managed to find out quite a bit on these motors already!!!

I remember driving my mates 04 Turbo Cab last summer and loved it. Totally different to the 360, in fact the 360 seemed quicker but on paper isn't. Suppose that's down to how both motors deliver their power. But I did enjoy the Cab TT but I wouldn't buy one. A jet black coupe will do for me lick

Good Luck! beer

I started out looking for a Basalt Black 52+ coupe. Ive ended up with a Seal Grey '54 coupe. I like both colours so am happy - in fact cleaning it will be a damn site easier, having had several black cars before!

iirc, the 02 onward cars (or poss 52 onward) have a slightly stiffer(25% more) chassis.
