If you were buying a turbo and you observed from the history that it'd gone 20k between the first and second service, would it put you off much?

What about if it blew up? Would you expect the OPC warranty to replace the engine?

ps This isn't my car I'm talking about!

depends on the age of the Turbo - didnt the pork service intervals switch to 24k/2 yrs in 2004?

if it was prior that, i wouldnt touch it - a couple of months or couple k over, fair enough, but 8's on the high side, especially for the first service...

(plus, it suggests lonman may have had it once upon a time )

up until Model Year 2003 servicing was every 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever came first. From Model Year 2004 onwards it went to every 12,000 miles or every 24 months, which ever came first so leaving 20,000 miles between services wouldn't be doing any future warranty claims any help!

MY2004 onwards, wasn't it 24k or 2yrs whatever comes first?

edit: nope, it is as you say

Found a good link re: servicing/costs here:

What confuses me is the cost of the "annual service" for cars doing less than 9k pa. Only £123...
