997 GT3 Ceramics?
Discussion
I would say no based on a cost vs re-sale (worries about replacements/durability)& extra performance basis! I went for standard steels on that basis!
We are all also still uncertain about long term reliability, although they look to be ok now, we won't know for sure for a while & look how badly Porsche supported the last problems.
The one BIG appeal is lack of brake dust, that is a MAJOR benefit based on my car it seems to shed dust at an alarming rate, nothing to do with my right foot of course
!!

!!If in any doubt, no. I've only tried PCCBs on the road, and thought they were great. But - they tend to make second-hand buyers nervous and prompt a million threads like this one (I should know - I started one myself at one point). Given the level of uncertainty that surrounds their longevity and durability, they just cost way too much to take a flyer. In their race to make a few more quid and stick something else in the options list, Porsche started PCCB fitment way too early IMO - it doesn't appear that enough R+D has gone into these yet, and it certainly doesn't appear that Porsche AG are yet prepared to step up to bat and guarantee PCCB performance even within limited parameters. My repeated question on this latter point to my OPC has produced more than a few sniggers.
I had no probs with my 996rs after quite a few track days, and off track excursions!
But have had to scrap my gt2 ceramics after one hard session at Snetterton.
I reckon extra weight and speed reduction has taken it's toll.
Car is currently being fitted with alcons front and 997rs rears, shall be intrigued with new performance.

I'm interested to know whether these comments (mainly against PCCB's) are reflected by the RS owners out there. Any takers?

All the 997 GT3RSs I've seen have had PCCBs.
It's important to remember that the latest PCCBs are 'Generation 3', so can't really be compared with earlier applications on other models.
