This was posted on 6speedonline by my friend and cameraman:

So this morning around 6am I am awoken by adam, he asks if I want to go for a quick run on the autobahn?

I see this twinkle in his eye, i knew we'd have some fun, so I drag myself out of bed, put on some clothes, and jump into the elevator that takes us to the garage.

The yellowbird was fun last week, but we just tweaked the damping on the R Turbo...so its R Turbo time

Adam's dad also wanted to join us, so he decided to grab the yellowbird and off we were, to the gas station

The morning run was alot fun, not much traffic, and we hit 204 mph...of course heres the youtube link.

My dad was actually enjoying it on low boost.

We did an impromtu race and the r-turbo pulled on it about 3 car lengths from 60mph to 150mph or so.

But otherwise during that run my dad didnt quite keep

Flemke,

Good point yes

best,
adam

I got up this morning and did a load of ironing. Then I made dinner. Erm... I'm waiting 'till later to do my 200mph run. You know...after I've done a bit of vacuuming and stuff.

*sigh*

Jealous.

Adam, any chance of some ring footage? It seems everyone else ignores the ban, I'd love to see a lap of the two together with the camera car being the car behind if at all possible?

Adam,

The speed of acceleration in the late 180's looks phenomal, whats the steering like at those speeds, do you start to get at lift ?

Feels superb. The road is great, but the car is absolutely planted. The ruf wing really pushes the car down. Even so near the r turbos limit, it didnt feel stressed. We were above 180mph for so long-

Brilliant stuff again adam. If I had one RUF parked on my driveway I'd be over the moon. You must be right outta this universe with those two beasts to play around in.

Classic, when Evo do a feature about maxing out a car on the Autobahn they tend (IMO) to over dramatize it somewhat .
Adam wakes up in the morning, kicks his mate out of bed and does 204mph before settling down to eat his eat his bowl of Cornflakes !! hehe The man's a legend thumbup

I thought that about the monaro article! too much drama and not enough speed...

Great video, much better closeup on the GPS than the last one. Looks like a 670 Garmin, I just bought one myself.

I have a TomTom 910, but left it in england, so it would have been interesting to compare the two...i cant say if it was 100% accurate, but i really hope it was

I have the 910, it's been nothing but a pain in the arse, it has a mind of it's own, sometimes it won't turn on, sometimes it doesn't get a signal for 20 minutes or more, it's back at Tom Tom now for the second time in 6 months, it's really frustrating when you buy the best and it turns out to be shite, sorry rant over..........

Awesome vid, can't wait to get my gt2 back now after some fettling.

Where in germany is that, or are most autobahns still de-restricted?
When we go to ring the roads we use are restricted.
