MOT

Just taken my 3R for its first MOT (Thanks to Dick Lovetts in Hungerford - really helpful/careful and let me do the MOT with them - nice flat ramp too).

She passed with no problems apart from a note about some slight play in the offside rear lower ball joint - there's no top/bottom movement but the play is side to side. I only had a quick look but it's the joint that bolts in horizontally to the hub carrier. It looks like it can be tightened by a collar - is that the case? Is it that simple or do I need to get it replaced/looked at by a specialist?

Any advice gratefully recieved!

Interestingly, especially following recent posts about emissions being an issue at MOT time, they commented that it was as 'clean as a whistle' and alot better than they were expecting.

Their computerised registration system didn't recognise Noble as a make though.....well, you can't have it all can you....!

Hi, I'm based in hungerford - I'm planning to get it serviced very soon and intend to drop it back to the factory for that, and now get the joint looked at too!

I have a vague memory 3R's and M400 engines are EU3 or 4 compliant????
