Sportseats - my hunt is over
Discussion
I have been looking for sport seats for a while with the closest I had come to owning being through Porshapart for £620 plus shipping and VAT, but they were very tired and a little scuffed.
Biding my time, a set came up on eBay which I managed to win with a bit of luck for £299. They had been bought for a project and had been standing in a shed for a while, but were in good condition though the seat backs were blue, not the metallic black of my car.
I contacted the well known and well reputed Southbound trimmers to see if they would be able to refurbish and repaint but they couldn't take a booking until May, and they wanted a considerable amount for the work.
Searching the forums I came across a mention of Jeff Mussell's restoration services (01483 426526, Godalming in Surrey), so I contacted him.
A week later I have a set of fully refurbished seats with backs in matching body colour. I am delighted - Jeff did a careful and thorough job, was a pleasure to deal with being a fellow petrolhead and did exactly what he said he would do, in the time he estimated for a very fair price.
All in my 'new' Sportseats came in at roughly £540 - and I am absolutely delighted with the result and pleased with the additional support and comfort they offer. Thanks to Jeff and eBay and proof a little bit of time spent can save you a lot of money. And my old seats are on eBay incase you were wondering...

I think these will be preserved. Depending on what they decide is best for your seats they may do a leather feed plus re-stretch, touch-up and paint backs (as per mine), leather dye and repair, replace padding, or any combination. Common sense leads me to believe a good restorer should preserve the integrity of the seats so your embossment should be safe.
