Dilemma! Help please!

Pistonfest clashes with my Birthday (Sat 28th June) and when I asked Mrs Bonce if she'd like to come camping with me she grimaced with a 'that ****s up the plans I had for your birthday' face (I can read her like a book) and said "If you want". Last year I buggered off to Glastonbury 
without her for my birthday and I think she wanted to "do something nice" this year.
How can I convince her that PistonFest is "something nice"?
Oh and she met Mungo and CheapShopTart at BTaP so I've got that to work against too.

Fatboy has a point. It's your birthday and in theory you should celebrate it the way you want.
However, as we all know, theory rarely reflects reality and if your other half isn't a petrolhead then it could be more difficult to convince her, particularly if she feels you are being unappreciative of her hard work.
Fortunately my wife (hi Cosmic
) is a total petrolhead like me so the problem would be less likely to arise.

Of course, you'll have to be diplomatic enough so that she postpones her plans for your birthday, rather than cancelling them - that way you get to have your pie & eat it...
It all depends on whether you've previously set precident by expecting her to organise stuff for your birthday.. Mrs Zee has done this in the past (I had to cancel a trackday @ GoodWood last year...) so I was a bit narked when she started making plans without me for her b/day this year. All sorted though - we're going to Back Home which suits me 100%
