Hi - i am buying a boxster S and have had it inspected. Among a few other things i am nformed that there is a small coolant leak from the header tank, which would cost £230.00 + VAT to replace. Would this be wise or is there the option of repair, it seems a lot but i have no idea how important it is. Cheers Mark.

Header tank leaks come up here fairly often , and are part of the 'joys' of water cooled Porsche ownership.
The bad news is it needs to be replaced , mending is going to be a temporary fix at best.
The good news is once it's fixed that's one less thing to worry about!! , it'll probably never occur for you again , and hopefully you won't have to foot the bill for it's replacement if you're just about to buy.

A word of caution if I may ... A split header can on rare occasions be a sign of water in the cylinders , check for gunk both under the oil cap and in the header tank , a teaspoon full or less is fine under the oil cap but any 'mayonnaise' in evidence in the header tank and it's time to walk away.

Sorry for such a pessimistic post ... The car's most likely perfectly fine , but it's "buyer beware" time for you , so be careful out there!!
