I use Swepco gear lube in my G50/21 with Quaiffe ATB, like many of the Porsche guys do as well, I'll look up where I got it when I get home this evening, and exactly which type of oil I used...

Seems to work fine, not had any issues shifting or anything like that.

Make sure you have access to the filler hole, I drip filled mine in the side vent over 3 days!!!

Only thing with inverting the gearbox, is you have to have a nice sticky oil to make sure you don't wear out the ring and pinion.. It usually runs in oil but inverting the box means the contact point is above the Oil level... Trust me on this I wore out mine by fitting Mobile 75-90.. It was to thin.... And before Waynes sticks his ore in he has a gearbox pump with a jet of oil pointing directly at the contact point, so he can use nice thinner oil......thats if he has ever turned it on !!! probably doesn't know which switch it is....

Have fun..

I use Miller 75/90 semi-synthetic, and a pumped system, 4 years of trackdays and no problems!
I also have an ATB but I have used it with the Porsche LSD with good results.

I vote for Millers too.

It is the only oil I'd ever consider using in any engine or transmission I am involved with. 15 years experience of it in race and road cars has left me more than happy

I did.

But then after all your help I bottled it and went for Ultima and A/S recommendations of:

15W40 Mineral (AS recommended)
and

75W90 semi synth (Ultima and Quaife)

Thanks for all your help though.

Got the clutch today.....................oh. There will be some questions. Stand by the keyboards men!!
