In the words of Monty Python……..

And now for something completely different.

The meeting on the 18th will be same time same place i.e. 11.30 at the George IV Baldock but for those that fancy a bit of a run into the meeting Steve Hughes (Hoover) has organised the following:

Meeting Place :- South Mimms Service Station @ 10:30 for a departure at 11:00... run time approx 45mins

Use this time to visit toilets, have a coffee, fuel up if necessary... and general chat and briefing on the route.

Handy Tip to avoid speed bumps. Follow signs for fuel and at the roundabout which you go 360deg for fuel take first exit which leads into services

car park avoiding the speed humps.

Route is A1 North via Hatfield Tunnel to Welwyn Garden City.

some wiggly bits and straight stuff

Stevenage A1 to Baldock.

Maps should be available on the day if any one wants them. (hopefully... Steve will have time to sort them).

This route gives a mixture of Dual Carriageways of smooth blacktop (laid within the last few years) and some more relaxed driving through some scenic villages.

All we ask is that courtesy is given to other road users, and that in the villages everyone behaves.

Can those that will be going to South Mimms let me know so that I can give Steve some idea on the numbers. If you need the route in advance please email me.

See you Sunday

Won't be able to make this month's Meet, but it all sounds good, sorry I'll miss it!

Slightly off topic, but relevant to this group - Sprint have listed the Shocks and Springs day at Offord as 26th May - I thought it was 21st April, can someone confirm please? (The listing is on the back cover of February Sprint).

Thanks, enjoy Sunday .

Shocxks and Springs def 21ST APRIL not May as on Sprint.

My error, didnt get it changed!

with a bity of luck and a fair wind TVRCC website and Srint should be correct soon.

Just to confirm the numbers in general.

We have had 60 different cars to the meetings so far

We are not just rising but flying....

Numbers may be down a bit for this Sunday as some nurk decided to have Mothers Day on our meeting day but when the good weather gets here we fully expect to outgrow our present venue.

I will post a new topic on here, email all those on my database and post on the TVRCC site full details of the Shocks and Spring event next week ITS GONNA BE MEGA!!!

I keep meaning to make these dates but there's always something that gets seriously in the way - this time it's Mother's Day and I only have two seats in my Sag and 3 kids to go out as well. Next time I hope.

I keep meaning to come to one of these, but I shall be flinging the Chim round North Weald this Sunday.

Please don't let it snow.

Can't make it guys, Motherdays is going to have to come first!

Especially after the money I've been spending on the Cerbera. Wife's getting a bit jellous!

See you all in April.

Hi guys,

Sorry, been a bit slow on the uptake as not sure if I'll have the "fumes" problem sorted on the Chim by then but I'm ever hopeful and its being looked at on sat. If its sorted or the weather permits the top off I'll be there for the drive in. Fingers crossed eh- hopefully see you at SM.

No problem. I'll try and come to the April session (which clashes with Cadwell Park, which I'm not doing), although the car might be at The Menders (it's going off for some serious fettling next week and may not be back by then). Sadly, the May meet coincides with Anglesey, but the June one's OK (clashes with Harewood which I'm not doing). July's free!

As you can see, weekends are a tad crowded during the season!

Of course, the easiest way to find out about sprinting & hillclimbing is to come and *do* some!
