After saving/waiting for what seemed like forever (3 years), I will be getting back into a sports car as I've just done a deal for a 996 TT! It's definately been frustrating running in a VW since I got rid of my E46 M3 in 2004 - decided not to buy another car straight away and waited for 996 TT prices to come down. The abuse I got for 'slumming it' in a slow TDi will end in a few weeks time! Also wanted a 911 before I turn 30 later this year so it's going to be my early birthday present!

Hopefully I'll run it for 2-3 years before getting into a 997 GT3. Looking forward to getting into one of THE motoring icons, I have only had a Golf GTi, Elise and M3 in my 13 years of motoring so hopefully the TT won't disappoint.

Managed to source from an indi for at least £3-4k cheaper than OPC. Spec are as follows:

996 TT '02
Basalt / black
Manual (I'm a real man so no Tip )
21k miles
PCM
OPC warranty

I had to spend ages finding the right car as I wanted black/black combo with max 2 owners, didn't bother me about not buying from OPC as long it has a Porsche warranty. The only tiny niggle was I wanted one with a powerkit - I guess I'll have to consider a DMS remap to bump it round to a nice 500bhp

Just want to know if DMS is the one to go for or is there any other people can recommend?

Thanks in advance

DMS will void your warranty....

I thought it would only affect the warranty for engine related claims so the Posrche can't refuse a claim for other parts affected. Also heard DMS warrant the engine for 3 years.

Sorry, yes, engine claims only would be voided. Make sure you read the small print and that the DMS warranty covers engine damage and not just damage to the DMS parts excluding losses as a conseqence of their installation.
