Cheap insurance?

I used to be with Classicline - BUT - they wanted me to put the car in the garage every time I came home - yes even for 10 mins and I got fed up with their constant errors - eg saying £100 excess on the renewal p'work and the cert saying £200 which they then couldn't correct but had to cover with a side letter!! Absolutely bonkers particularly having to always put it away even if you have just washed it and it needs to dry before. Hagerty say it can be on the drive from 6am until 10pm but I understand from somewhere else that you do need to have a garage for it overnight and they won't insure without. Have a good look at what everyone is actually offering before you buy.

Ditto, got a quote for £256 on the V8S when the cloest from any of the usual sources (and more) could only get to £800. Was well chuffed with that (limited to 6000 miles) and then found it includes TVRCC track day cover too when the documentation arrived

Just be thankful they don't charge for the changes. We've got the family car covered with simplecover.co.uk who managed to look it up from the DVLA and find it to be a diesel. I didn't spot this until the documentation arrived (although have a feeling it was never there to spot), not they want to charge me £15.75 to make the change over a premium rate phone line... Thankfully it is there mistake so I'm not going to worry, but those sort of costs are just not on.

We will insure a vehicle with a value below £15k on a driveway, but must admit we arent the cheapest!! Best deal is a car garaged overnight, and as stated, can be left on driveway between 6am and 10pm.
As Jim states, best not to always compare on price, but what the policy actually covers. Agreed values, your choice of repairer, salvage retention etc. Unfortunately an insurance policy is only as good as what happens after something bad has happened to your pride and joy!!

Just asked for a quote, see how I get on.
I've used Carole Nash brokers (until the insurer they were using suddenly lost interest and Nash's couldn't find another sensible deal). Now with Classicline - comp cover - including to and from work, 3,000 limited mileage, on the driveway - day and night - agreed value and breakdown cover all for ~£230 - which I thought wasn't too bad. But I am an old git of 41.....
