Just over a month on and have just, this morning, found another 996TT. I'm not going to jinx this one, so I'll wait until its been through the inspection (hopefully Monday) before I say more. Needless to say, I'm somewhat hopeful that I've finally found a good'un...

Watch this space... cool

Yeeeeeeehaaaaaaaa.

It went in this morning and passed the inspection with flying colours. At laaaaast, I will soon be the proud owner of 996TT.

Specs on the car:
54 plate, 1 owner, 48kmiles (cumbria to london regularly md of well known highstreet jewellery chain)
Seal Grey, Black Leather, Small alloy pack
satnav/heated bum/sunroof etc.etc.etc.

Mine for £49,990 + warranty. (thought it was an absolute steal at that price tbh - I'll only be doing about 5-6k pa in it)

Car is mint, leather looks brand new still (no dodgy bolsters etc). I'll post some piccys shortly.

What a beaut. Condition looks A1, and it's a manual - hurray! Congrats on the new purchase.

I am almost the same situation, 996tt inspected Tuesday this week, passed no worries, under warranty, had to wait to sell my M3 (went yesterday) now expect to pick car up next Wednesday/Thursday at latest. Almost same spec Seal/black leather/nav/heated seats/sunroof/bose, 51 reg/39k just lacks the ally pack. Cant wait.

cheers guys beer. really happy to have found what looks to be a sorted one at last. i dont do many miles so I dont have an issue with the mileage, and its all been done by the one owner so all the better. I think a 54 plate books at near on £58k trade (in glass's) but that's with (again, i think) 15k miles, so am very happy with the price.

really looking forward to the spring/summer now, although must get a decent detector/garage opener thingy

I think alot of TT owners are finally moving into the new GT3/TT so the pressure is on for the 'old' TT's, prices do seem to be accelerating down....

'Prices accelerating down,' I love hearing things like that as I'm planning to buy one in a year or so, can't wait.

p.s. car looks absolutely mint, my choice of color would be Seal grey or black.

ing hell that is the supercar bargain of the century

a great price. irrespective of the mileage i have not seen a facelift car at that price let alone a 54 plate

top job chum

i am very envious and it has given me financial cheer for when i buy

out of interest how much was it up for? did you beat them down? seems keenly priced?

thanks guys.

WW - it was up for the price I paid for it £49,990. Strangely, I bought it from John Holland Sales, which was the same place I was going to buy another seal grey TT from about 6wks ago (it failed inpsection x2). They put it on their website on Thursday and I just so happened to browse the site on Friday. I knew from the outset that I wasn't going to get a deal on it as the price was very fair, all things considered. This time around I even have to pay for the warranty (they paid for the inspection). But no matter, to my mind it's well worth it.

cheers
