Thick question - but has anyone fitted a childseat to their TVR?

Yep. Both rear facing in and front facing in the old Chim no problems and forward facing in the rear of the Cerb (only a handful of models fit though). Rear facers would not fit in the back of a Cerb but would, I assume, fit ok on the front seat same as they did in the Chim.

Excellent - It's the second size carseat - the chunky one though. I expect some of them might fit.

All standard child seats will fit in Griffs and Chims as they are just like any other car seats except they don't have airbags so you can fit the rear facing ones too

Gabby first went in my last Griff at about, oooh, 2 weeks old

Didn't you watch Top Gear last night?

North Yorks Police cannot enforce the law as it is against the law for them to measurer children. If it's true for North Yorkshire then it must be true for everyone.

Having said this I assume that North Yorkshire is representitive of the rest of the Country - which, if you've met anyone from North Yorkshire - you will know to be an incorrect assumption.

Yep, I've had the kids in both of my Ss and the cerb without a problem, you'll find that seats actually fit tighter in TVRs than some normal cars as they brace themselves down within the bucket of the seats where on family cars the seat squab tends to be be flat so the seat can move (unless using Isofix).

Take the car to your local Halfrauds, as they have good prices for seats and they'll be more than happy to try out seats in a TVR, the manager of our local place recongnises me now having taken the Tivs in over the years!

Had some difficulty fitting the second stage seat in to mine - Griff 500SE has Cerbie seats and it's difficult to get Maxi Cosi (sp?) seats between the seat bolsters as they are quite wide.

For Cerb owners, I'm sure that TVR did a child booster seat. I expect one or two people on here may have them sitting in the garage gathering dust. Alternately, I'm sure if you looked on e-bay, that they crop up from time to time.

As said by others, no problem fitting both forward and rear facing seats in the Griff, or 350i before that.
And you will find the little people love them. Little Big Dunc Loves it. He loves the roof down. He loves the noise. Everytime I open the garage door he runs up to the Griff and sais "Daddy Car, Roar roar"
I can just imagine getting pulled at some point in the future
"sorry officer, I had to go that fast as the kid likes the noise...."

Is that meant for the front or back of the Cerbie? In other words would it fit my Griff 500SE with Cerbie seats?

They did indeed, and we do.

It's designed to go in the back of the Cerb, I very much doubt it would fit in the front. Not enough clearance to the windscreen, IIRC. (I used to have a Griff as well.)

Back seats specifically although it could be used (forward-facing) in the front too.

How would that work? Surely it'd be too tall to fit in under the windscreen?

Not tried it, but should be OK as long as the seat back to roof height can fit the seat in. With the passenger seat right back I'd imagine there would be enough leg space.
