COPIED FROM THE TVRCC WEBSITE;

First new US-spec TVRs expected to be in dealer showrooms in US around January 2008 with sales expected to reach 2000 in 2009.

It if believed that EPA approval is just months away. DOT approval is expected a little after that.

Bertone has been signed to do the final assembly. Bodies and chassis will be built in the UK (no further info at present), engines to be done by Ricardo and interiors by I.M. Kelly.

The Sagaris will be the base model in the US and will be priced at approximately $110,000. This will be followed by the Tuscan GT at about $8,000 more, and then the Tuscan convertible priced at another $3,500 to $5,500 premium. In addition to the Typhoon, with improved styling, there will also be some stripped down Challenge models produced, based on the Sagaris.

Mr Smolenski is no long involved in the company and David Oxley will only be staying on for a short while

.

Adam and Jean Michel acknowledged they have a huge public relations problem to overcome

How much will it cost to transport the bits from the UK to Italy, assemble it all together and then bring back again? This and the supposed cost of Italian labour is a real kick in the spuds for UK labour.

Ironically if this assembly was by say by Lotus then I'd reckon a lot more people would be content as it would be sufficiently British still....

Mmmmmmmm......

Thats not the same Adam that set up TVR hire is it? Another company that Mr Smolenski was not involved in but happened to own 49% of and who's relly just happened to be Adams wife? Might be wrong of course.

Well at least some of it gets to be built here.

Haven't I also read somewhere that design, marketing and notional head office will remain in UK, therefore making it a UK company......... though this may have been before the the Yanks popped their heads above the parapet.
