Decded to wait it you, 6-12 months delivery. Sacked the 996 RS idea and it was becoming a mindfield and i have a few (3) very bad experiences of dodgy dealers. End of.

Anyway , spec sorted only colour to sort , either White or Speed yellow.

Spec is:

Buckets (leather/alcan)
Carbon sills
Carbon pack
Extended carbon pack
Carbon centre console (yes , i like carbon)

Sat nav/chrono + (sorry people)

Tyre pressue monitor

Err thats it

All the best

Its currently 60/40 to the speed , but white i keep seeing lovley pcitures of white ones. I have yet to see and "actual" car either.

My OPC has a white customer car coming in soon , time will tell.

Great service from my dealer too , OPC Newcastle , known the guy there for years but i also knew the guy at Leeds better until we had a slight disagreement.

Paul, good to hear you made up your mind.

White is definately the new Black, however why not consider Black as I have not heard of anyone going down this route yet, maybe a little exclusivity would be a good thing.... ?

Looking on the Porsche configerator Speed Yellow does look rather good and suits the looks to a T of the outlandish GT3. hehe

good choice of car.

yellow would be a brave decision when you could have gleaming white! then again I would say that.

have you tried the bucket seats out properly, not easy to use day to day, and uncomfortable when used for long periods, if you are a big un, the sports seats hold you pretty well anyway. only in mho

God that does look nice!

Thing is with black , i LOVE it , i want it but i doubt i will ever have it , i get really funny about swirl marks and stuff and get my self wound up over them , unfortunatley black shows these up really bad , shame as i would always buy black othewise!

Like you say Carl , yellow suits the outlandish style!

Paul, have the OPC given you an idea on delivery time ?
and also have they asked you for the £10k deposit ?

Deposit paid , although the "other" sales person said 5k on the phone which i thought as fair but yes, 10k down.

Delivery , no later than 12 months , could be this August though if a car becomes availavle , we can also drop out anytime if i can get a car sooner , i like the anticipation though.

I keep reading more & more about it , i just cant wait.

Oh yes, and I did go for the yellow bits as well !!
To be honest I've seen both Black and White in the flesh, both looked superb but saw the black one first and went for that.
Should be on the road April 2nd - if all goes to plan !

Speed Yellow not only looks outlandish but opitimises the purity of a GT3,what we cant forget is a 911 is a sports car afterall, not a coupe/3 series, i do get bored with all the bloody silver ones you see driving about nowadays,And Yellow looks stunning on a sunny summer day! Speed Yellow vote from me.

leather/alcan buckett seat look awesome

another feature to compliment this might be the leather interior
Have this on mine and really makes the difference - just thought...

As for the leather inside , i do like it but i think the carbon suits the type of car , then again , im speccing nav , what a condradiction.
