Insured my Griff with RAC for a tad over £400, NU were about £650 if I remember, but the policy from the RAC is underwritten by NU ? how do they work that 1 out
both appeared to be the same cover (unlimited windscreen cover, same excess, etc etc) but I didn't go into the depths of the small print.

The difference is all down to branding, I presume
The Chruchill ad states 'like for like basis', 'conditions apply'. I expect the conditions will be the downfall of anybody trying to get Chruchill to beat their £250 renewal quote from Hagerty - but I'd be interested to hear otherwise. I'll be sticking with Hagerty anyway - I doubt Churchill will match an agreed value even under their 'like for like'...
Churchill's annoying ad campaign is same as the old Kwikfit offer of matching any price.
Renewed my sensible Audi insurance this week.....renewal from Axa went up 30% from £320 despite no claims and car going down in value.
So phoned around..Churchill were £369 and I finally got A Plan to insure on same terms at £239.
Frankly, like Kwikfit...I could not be arsed to test their price promise. For the sake of beating it by £1, I really couldn't be bothered.
My view...if their starting price is so much higher than others before the price promise, they are screwing me
and must be feeding the damn dog on prime angus steak.
