I have a plan to modify my Seat Ibiza (not in a M** P**** way). Involving getting the enging from a Metro 6R4, mid-mounting it and basically having a completely mental car. Now I know this would cost a huge amount, but I was wondering if it is technically possible, so I can start buying lottery tickets!

Anything is possible if you throw enough money at it, but i suspect it would be far cheaper to buy a 6R4 to start with!

True, but I want it to be unique. Obviously I'd upgrade everything else to cope (brakes etc), and give it a diffuser for a bit of downforce. If I ever actually do it, I'd mainly use it for track days and stuff like that anyway

If you want to do it, then go for it! Start buying them lottery tickets!

Maybe you should get in touch with chassis and ask him about his Ferrari engined Punto project!

I can source a Ferrari F50 (every component except the tub, interior and bodywork) for £50k if you're interested ? Now that would fly in an Ibeefa shell

I feel there is gonna be a bidding war here between DJ and Chassis

Thats an idea. If i win the lottery next weekend i might buy that F50 off you! What a noise that would be! I think it would get a lot of attention from the local M** P**** gang as well, which would be very very funny

Some people treat trolls with contempt/suspicion/hatred. That guy's hilarious though I wonder who it is really ?
Couldn't remember if 'troll' was the right term + did a quick google:
www.teamtechnology.co.uk/troll.htm
hands up if you're not a troll by these definitions !

no offence to chassis, but i aint that stupid. I have actually thought this through, and know it will probably never happen. But it would be great if it did.

As i said - If you have the cash to burn and want to do it then go for it, but if I had the cash I would be spending it on something else suitably rapid and exclusive!

True. I'd buy loads of cars if I had the money though. The idea of building something totally unique just appeals to me for some reason

I've seen (not in the flesh) a Seat Leon with an extra 20v turbo lump in the rear. Body work was majorly altered at the back to access it. Surely this would be easier with an older car?

It was more the line
An internet troll is someone who fishes for people's confidence and, ...
from your comprehensible observation that everybody could be a troll by said definition; I was implying I'm honest to myself in admitting I would consider myself a troll.

Yes, weird but maybe a bit too.
