Probably a really stupid question but I've run out of the service cards in my black handbook - how important are these to a potential buyer? Obviously I also have the service invoices from when they were carried out but would a potential buyer rather see a fully stamped book instead of/as well as just a bunch of invoices?

If so any ideas where I can get hold of some more service cards?

Hi Tony,

You can find a new service card here....

www.thegriffithpages.com/service-card.html

I think when the cars are new and under warranty a dealer stamp on a card is important but once out of warranty I'd just make sure you have a good independant specialist and get his stamp on the card.. and keep the paper work as additional proof that the car is well looked after.

I've just bought a '95 Griff and the owner had a completely stamped book. The stamps for the last five years were from an indie. This made it much easier for me to check the history but the stamps only show that a service had been done. I still had to refer to the invoices to see what had been done at each service. I think service stamps for a car that is out of warranty/more than about three to five years old is a bit of luxury, keeeping the service invoices is more important and has more value to a potential buyer.
