hey,
I'm looking at giving the gt a second chance. I'm currently looking at a silver grey import but I want to know anyone that will tweek with bodywork and engine similar to a mild brabus conversion. I've seen the gemballa and the techarr versions, I don't really like either too much. anyone else got any suggestions? I don't see anything on the ruff site.

I think 9ff are working on something. It'll probably (hopefully) be a bit more restrained than some of the more pimpy stuff from TechArt and Gemballa.

Have you tried Halfords?

Perfectly understandable, after all they are butt ugly & a tad underpowered as standard - NOT.

Your money of course, but why bling up a rare & gorgeous car?

I'd go for the Ruf Twin Turbo conversion.

Richard Grant are just about to launch their chipboard bodykit and it looks well pukka. Let me know if you want one and we can order two and get a discount.

I'd also suggest cutting 4" out of the coil springs so the car sits real sweet on the road.

lets just say the previous owners were less than sympathetic to the machine. the front and rear of the machine are chipped and scraped to the state that i think its worth while to replace the panels.one of the wheels is bent or has been damaged and repaired the others are kerbed to unimaginable state with chips out of the tyres aswell, also its had a after market exhaust which is piss poor. The engine interior is sweet but if i were to buy it id defo strip it down and rebuild it. I thought instead of forking out to porsche for the parts why not pay a little bit more and get an even more exclusive car. Just seen the 9ff kit, its only a rendering but ive asked if they have any real pictures of it otherwise ts going to be the gemballa kit without the air scoop.

unless anyone spots anything better.

If you would need to do all this work, isn't it going to be cheaper in the long run if you just finder a better condition Carrera GT?

Or perhaps a copy of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty."

The from what you have said you want to save money and bling it up at the same time. Cant see the point, on the public road you could never tell the extra performance. Its not really a stunner in the same way as a Murciélago.

For less than 250k you could have loads of metal:

Fully restored Pagoda
1989 911 3.2 Autofarm lightweight
60's Bentley continental 4 door
996 turbo / RS6

You could buy a Peugeot 106 or better still a Corsa? Lots of tuners out there producing parts for these.

Notwithstanding your later comment regarding the state of the GT you are considering purchasing, sorry, but I still think it would be both sacrilegious and futile IMHO.
