Guys,

Strange one. Accelerating away and I get a rattle / air release sound - that seems to eminate from the front of the car then when I press the accelerator the turbo kick doesn't seem to be there. It does come and go though. Very hard to judge! No smoke indicating a blown turbo...I think.

The rattling / air noises at the front happens when I move up / down the gears and accelerate but not all the time.

Any idea's before I book the car in for a service?

Thanks,

Jamie

Yes assuming it's not that far - keep it under 3200rpm and on a light throttle and the turbos won't be spooling up anyway.

Thanks Joust,

Do you think it could be a loose / bust hose or fitting?

Any tips on where to look?

Many thanks,

Jamie

Sounds like either the inlet/outlet hose to the turbo is coming loose, or it could be the normal gasket on the turbo going that would also make this sort of 'farting' noise (if that is what it sounds like).

Check the hoses going to/from each turbo from the inlet filters to the intercooler. If they all seem fine then it's probably the turbo gasket.
