K & N Air Filter cleaner

Browsing the net I see this is now (only ?) available in a spray container.

Last time I bought/used some you tipped a little into a shallow tray and gently rolled your filter around not letting the liquid level come over the filter edge (hence keeping the inside clean). Then rinsed from the inside out with clean water and left to dry naturally at room temp.

Anyone had experience of the spray version and can comment on its effectiveness ?

I used a Piper Cross Filter Cleaning kit suitable for Foam Filters. Cost £10.

I've used the spray and it worked perfectly well, although I never used the old version so can't compare.
