Thermostat - too cold?

I've got hold of a 71 degree thermostat from RT racing. Does anyone have any views as to whether this is this gonna be too low for the car to reach an efficient operating temp??

Steve, I've got a copy of the bible and this mentions a 74 degree stat - is this as low as you can go then??

74 is what the factory used and still do on the Griffi /Chimaera.

I wouldn't go any lower as you will find that on cooler days the engine simply doesn't get warm.
