Nikon cameras: www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Nikon/

Fuji cameras (which, I think, use the Nikon mount): www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Fujifilm/

Canon cameras: www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Canon/

If you already have Nikon lenses, and are going down the second-hand route, I'd be looking for a Nikon D100, a D2H or a Fuji S2 Pro.

If you'd consider Canon, a 10D/20D/1d/1ds would be a good place to start

There's a mountain of information on this forum alone if you have a search

...or you may even get a D70/D70S

What's the budget again?

Here's a reputable dealer's secondhand digital stock for an idea

Friend of mine used a d2h, takes some excellent images with it, nice solid camera, bulky - but basically the same chassis and handling as the d2x - he'd recommend - he's been thinking about upgrading to a d2x for a long time but just doesn't see the point for what he uses it for . . . he doesn't need the resolution . . .
