17s are fine - just don't get Pirelli Pzero assims - they are a nightmare on the 44

If you're involved in an accident and want to have your life ruined then yes 17" is fine. Otherwise fit 16's

Whats wrong with PZero Assimetrico on a 944?
That's what I have on mine.

I don't believe 944's were sold with anything larger than a 16"s. The 968 was sold with 17"s, its recomended that you upgrade the castor bushes to 968 castor bushes/mounts (found on the back of the front wishbones, quite a small component).
