What happened to the T440R?
Discussion
Was watching a DVD on the history of TVR last night that I got for Crimbo and they covered off a bit on the T440R and I was just wondering what happened to them? Obviously it never got fully rolled out into production but if the DVD is anything to go on one was built to completion - metalic brown and another (mettalic light blue) was almost complete.
Does anyone know if they survived?

There's article in this months Sprint on the T440R . It seems that the only one in existence was extensively damaged by a photographer who was given the opportunity to drive it while on a photo-shoot.
The car is privately owned and is undergoing repairs/rebuild, due back on the road in August!
Stunning car, there are some very good pictures of it (before damage!!)

What DVD was this.... The only one I know of is the "Best of British" one...

Think that might be what it was called. It looks as if there has been a section grafted onto the DVD on 'new models' as it is only accessible via the DVD menu and is not part of the actual programme.
As per Sprint article, T440R with LNT for rebuild. Two Typhons in existence, TQ3's, featured in Evo this month, and the one currently bringing the children back from school.
And no Typhoon that I am aware of, other than in a few fertile imaginations.

I thought the Typhon was supposed to be the supercharged version of the T440, therefore there are no Typhons in existance?

there was a supercharged version,(orange one)which is still in the factory minus engine this was the development hack,it was producing 580 bhp i believe
lnt had the first one a t440
2 others were produced for the road and called typhon
there was more race cars produced
tuscan "r", then it became t440 ,then typhon ,but all were the same car
the moulds are still at the factory

Anyone know what happened to the red bodied Typhon?
I chased it on the M6 for a few miles before giving up all hope as it shot off into the distance.

the red bodied tuscan "r" as it was called ,
was painted in "dewalt racing colours" and was at the back home event last year, and is still in factory
