Hi Guys,

Following on from our last excursion through Shropshire and worcestershire, we now plan to invade Mid Wales - The Elan Valley to be precise. This time we will meet at Hopwood Services off junction 2 on M42. This has good access from both directions. Because we are going further this time we will have to start earlier. So, we'll meet from 9.00 with the intention of leaving about 9.30. It should be about a 2 hour drive. We can then park up, take some photos, admire the views etc, before heading for refreshments/food at a suitable pub - Currently being looked into by gandalf, who will post details when he's sorted one out.

The afternoon drive back will be on a different route - May as well take advantage of these great roads. I will not post the route on here, but if you would like a copy you can e-mail gandalf at sdtvr@yahoo.co.uk. I will also hand out copies on the day, so maybe this time we wont get split up. A good navigator may come in useful as well!

So then, who's joining us?

Paul

Knew you would say that. Think of the empty roads though.

I know Steve it seems like a waste of money to me too

Hi everyone,

Just had the info from Steve re the lunch stop. It will be at the Vulcan Arms in Llanwrthwl, Powys. With lots of off road parking and next to a Texaco Garage. If anyone fancies a meal it will be a carvery at £6.95 or £8.95 for a 2 course - Great value. If you can let us know within the next couple of weeks how many of you will be having a meal, Steve can let them know.

Mars may be interested to know the start time has been put back to 9.30. So we'll meet from 9.00.

Anyone keen on the Bham Tunnel run on the 18th Feb e-mail me at paulhunt@blueyonder.co.uk

Cheers

We'd have come anyway... well, as long as we can get a baby sitter again anyway. Can't miss out on such a great day. The last one was superb.

I'll confirm baby sitter tomorrow of Tuesday but it's likely, and we'll certainly stay for lunch.

If you miss this one Dan, there should be another one in April. And then the Peak District run in May. Try and do one a month if there's a free weekend. If you have a Tiv by the end of March you'll have to come on the North Wales trip.

See you Sunday
