Finally saw my first 997 GT3 in the metal the other night. White, full clubsport with PCCBs on a trucj at Edinburgh OPC... just as it began to snow. Looked stunning.

Found these elsewhere, thought I'd share:

Yes I've seen a white one in the flesh and pretty stunning.
I went for black in the end myself, saw this one which I think also looked pretty good.

997GT3 in white is the best looking Porsche since the 911 2.7 RS - agree/disagree

Agree but I cant help thinking that in 10+ years time the white cars will look very dated / tacky, similar to white Countaches / Testarossas do now.

Different to the RS's as you dont really get much choice of colours with those

Sorry no; for me a white non-RS is purer - right now it'd be my perfect car, it really does everything.

The 1973 2.7RSs were actually built in 27 different colours.

Of the total build, less than 30% were white (with blue, red, green or no decals). Most popular colour was Light Yellow.

White was originally the German racing colour, although it became silver when they started running their cars without any paint.
