Yes they are. I really really liked that car. I dont care that its a bit big, it certainly didnt feel like it.
It makes a lovely noise, and Id never tire of the doors

So Night, when are you gonna upgrade to the Murcielago?
I'll take the Diablo off your hands for a couple of quid if you cant shift it

upgrade? ha...my diablo runs 632bhp (on dyno) and will EAT a Murci at the moment. That said, it isnt getting enough care, love and attention and has been p*ssing me about a bit recetnly (fouling etc..).

Not sure abotu getign Murci cos of waiting etc... also waiting on Farboud GTS.....dunno to be honest!

HA, 632bhp, is that all? Chicken feed!

You cant get the Farboud, it looks ok, but the vents on the doors just look wrong. Get the murci, much nicer.

Out of interest Night, have you had the Diablo very long, and have you had many issues with it?

I must drive this car again.....
Night/Fletch I'm going to email you guys...

P.S. Quick question - Fletch - any gripes about the clutch action - particularly when pulling away in first.. (which was near impossible to do smoothly when I drove 'Y1').

had it for well over 3 years now I think..maybe longer....am a little crap on things like dates (i blame all the travel rather than the massive quantities of drugs.. (joke!)).

It has caused a few problems, but they're almost all of my own making...it isn't exactly standard...for starters has the Jota kit, which caused all sorts of misfire/overrun problems initially but was found to be 'sat wrong' and is now fine....has a completely unique exhaust system too, which actually dug the biggest hole you've ever seen in the torque curve when added originally...took lots of fiddlng about with pressures and EC to get right (not me fiddling you understand!)

Aside from those specifics....the only problems are when I dont use it much...imagine all other owners would agree on that. Fouls the plugs really easily and runs like a dog until fettled again.....which can be a right a**e if Im honest!!

Oh...and I think the Faboud looks amazing..the back is an absolute work of art. Not too keen on the very 'Porsche' headlight arrangement, but they said they might change that anyway...side vents are unusual I agree!

Manu,
I found the clutch a little odd, in respects that you didnt give it any gas to move away initially, so it took a little getting used to. Stopping and starting in London traffic wasnt an issue, and by the end of the test drive I was pretty smooth with it. It was still the Y1 car btw.

Night,
Interesting, so the key is not to modify it and drive it fairly often
When you talk about not using it, are you talking days, weeks, or months before the plugs foul?

With respects to the Farboud, I think it looks pretty good and the article they had in evo made it sound rather interesting, especially with some ex-Lotus people working on it. They should rotate the door vents 180 degrees, it'd look better
