That's the same box as what's in my car... perhaps he meant a 993 ?

I had to add a LSD to mine, so perhaps it's a friction plate type...

Am interested in this but have the following question :

Does this 'box need any modification / adaption over a normal G50 to fit in a GTR ?

Thanks

Hi as Andy say's it a G50 and a G50's a G50
The number after determins the ratio and or where it came from, LSD etc
If you have a look on Stigs web site he had something about boxes infact I think it may have been on here.

Thanks, I was just making sure that being a 6 speed with LSD it wasn't different in any way externally to the 5 speed G50's that the factory sell.

A couple more (hopefully not too silly) questions :

Is this a short or long 'box ?
Am I right in thinking that I will need slightly different mounting brackets / adaptors depending on whether I fit a short or long G50 ?

Thanks

The gearbox mounts come from the factory.
As the engine and 'box are almost the last thing to go in you can leave the issue of mounts until late on and just call the factory and tell them the 'box model you are going to use and they will supply the required mounts.
