Here we go:
Does the GT2 in comfort spec have rear seats?

If not is it possible/legal to retrofit. Would be useful for carrying the kids on occasion thats all.

No it doesnt and you cant..illegal because the front seats dont fold fowards therefore access is restricted.

But if it's a comfort spec with comfort seats (ie not fixed buckets) they would indeed tilt forward..................
In which case I see no reason why you couldn't retrofit rear seats.

I know somebody that did fit child seats & proper belts to the rear of a GT3. Can't imagine it's any different to a GT2.

Hi, I have a comfort and you can push them forward a little but not as far as you should be able to for seats at the rear, the logbook says 2 seats.
So, I think it would be illegal to add seats in the back, go for the x50 turbo or turbo s rather than a gt2, somebody here has a wicked gt2 lookalike Turbo, get something like that!

If the seats do fold and you do add rears make sure you tell your insurers. An MOT may suffice as a safety inspection (rather than an engineer's report). Just a case of crossing Ts and dotting Is.

No - though I think on another thread kurgen anounced he was buying one and that his wife was off. I don't know if the two things are related, though.

Edit - wrong guy - it wasn't johnny finance. Sorry jf. Sorry kurgen, too - though at least you've got a GT2 to take your mind off the mouse and the cheese and so on.

Surely that would make the GT2 a divorcee maker! Doesn't make the balls of the GT2 owners feel as big.....

Mine is a comfort spec and the seats do allow as much access to the rear as my old c2 did. Not sure how you are going to get around it being a 2 seater on the v5 and how your insurer will feel about the modification. I'd be interested in how you get on as it may help me future proof my car laugh

Its the driver not the car thats the widowmaker.

I know when the kids are in the back of my Turbo I drive like Miss Daisy, would be the same for any car I drove.
