GT3 Suspension ?

I am looking to buy a 996 and have come across one where the seller says that it has the GT3 adjustable suspension. Apparently this is different to teh standard Porsche Sports Suspension option.

Can someone tell me what the ride is like with teh GT3 suspensions as compared to both the standard suspension and the sports suspension ?

Sorry, you need to be more specific, is it an aftermarket suspension kit ? if so is there an invoice for it's supply ? If it's Bilstein, Koni, JRZ, Moton or KW, it may well be adjustable for ride height bump and rebound.

I'm not aware of Porsche supplying any "adjustable" kits for the 996 as an option.

GT3 dampers do have a degree of adjustability insofar as the spring platforms can be raised or lowered, but Porsche have never supplied them with external bump or rebound adjustment.

It is unlikely the a standard 996 would have GT3 suspension. It was never a viable option and never offered by Porsche. I think he probably means it has sports suspension which is completely different. Either that or he's talking bollox

Thanks for the replies.

I did quiz the owner about this and he specifically said:
- It is not the Sports Suspension option
- It was fitted from new by the dealer
- He referred to it as the GT3 adjustable suspension !

Not being an expert, I didn't quiz him further and thought I would ask on here !
