hi guys,
what is the normal boost you can get from your 993TT, based on the onboard computer display ?
what is the common problems with boost pressure readings, if any ?
many thanks in advance.

standard digital boost display will only ever show a maximum of 0.8 bar - even when the car is boosting more such as 0.9 on the 430 model.

question, so what should be the reading whilst on low speeds, or slowdown ? is it 0.0 or 0.1 ??

the 993tt boost readout is notoriously 'mysterious' unfortunately - on boost it seems fine as long as u know it won't show more than 0.8, but off boost it can be quite random.

If the car is under load i.e. there is a small amount of boost then mine seems to show 0.1, 0.2 etc quite acurately but when I KNOW I'm not using any boost it will sometimes stick at 0.2 bar for a while, up to a minute, before going back to 0.

Some owners have complained this is worse and it never shows less than 0.2, others ignore the readout all together!

The guys more serisouly in to tuning 993tt's will probably advise you to ignore the digital readout and get a seperate analogue guage.

Boost levels of 0.1 or 0.2 at idle tend to indicate a duff sender...
