It's jolly slippery on these cold damp salty roads, or my pirelli tyres are rubbish or 996 turbos are indeed a bit understeery. Then oversteery. then understeery.

This time of year the transition from slow to fast is just a little more exciting

Joking aside, I've never really found the car to be anything other than a pussycat even in the wet. A little slippy here and there but never too much of a challenge the chassis is just so controlled.

These days though, I'm having the same feeling -- and at the same speeds -- as I get on 600 / 1000cc bikes. A little throttle fear even at big mph on slightly curving sliproads.

What a car

You're not wrong.

I've bought myself a 207 diesel runabout with Continentals. And I'm not joking I can carry more cornerspeed onto roundabouts in that than I can the tt in this weather, though considerably less exit speed, lol. I've found contis really great in the past. Is there a fitment on the tt?

Are those pirellis rubbish or what? They're not that old, although the rears seem to have evaporated quite a lot of tread in a shortish space of time, but the fronts look fine tread wise.

When I test drove Plato's X50 that time in the rain there was way more grip and he had a brand new set of michelin pilot sports (I think).

What's the preferred tyre on the tt? I know, do a search...

Im using p-zero's but the rears only have 4-5k worth of good use in them before they are a tad average to say the least.
