Tent? Oh yeah i'll need one of those too, expect i'll try and borrow one a week or so before departing!

I'm looking forward to the drive there / back, the race and the partying but not so much the three nights camping. I've started praying to various gods and idols for hot dry weather!

Booked euro tunnel to go out on Fri and back on Mon. Never been before and a bit apprehensive about camping. Going with a few mates. If it's not that good suppose you can just drive down to the south of france etc.

Judging by the pictures on the Le Mans forum and in particular, the number of supercar owners who seem to be happy slumming it for the weekend, it can't be that bad....

The last few years there's been big group of Danes @ the Porsche Curves throughout the weekend...basically they just parked up with sleeping bags, a few chairs (obligatory beer bottle mountain!) an just slept where they watched!!! Providing it's not raining I think anything goes! thumbup

maybe.

though the classic 'ring 24hrs is on the same weekend and seems more appealing somehow, mostly by virtue of not being set in a puddle filled with french excrement.

I can't go this year but if you need a tent there is a Decathlon store near the Houx Annex campsite, they always have loads of the cheap pop type tents in stock. You will save on luggage space that way. Buy one there and set fire to it when you leave so the Pikeys dont get it.
