996 GT3 RS glove box

I noticed that RHD RS's have a glove box. LHD don't.
Is there a specific reason or just Porsche couldn't be bothered making a non glove box dash for RHD ?

I just bought one of these fantastic cars and looking forward to picking it up in the beginning of March.

The non glovebox dash was from the pre-facelifts and apparently they didn't have enough for the RHD cars. So we gain a bit of weight there. More practical though and the newer dash is nicer imho. We also save weight on the crappy small fuel tank on RHDs

Agreed that it is more practical but in the spirit of the car it would have been nice that both would have been without.
But I do think the rest of the dash is identical for both LHD and RHD.
So no old versus new since the LHD also have the(unnecessary?)cupholders from the facelift and some other small changes.

Anyway , it is nothing important , just curious if my observation was correct.

Can't wait to get my new baby.
