Just had the dash and dash binnacle off the Cerb today (2000 LW) and noticed these scribblings. The first is on the underside of the binnacle, the second on the back of the instrument panel. Any ex-factory bods care to enlighten me or own up? hehe Thanks (btw sorry about poor quality phone cam pics

When you ordered a new car from the factory couldn't you sign (doodle) the inside of it while it was in assembly?

Hi Keithyboy the first picture with the number on will be the trimmers mark to identify who trimmed it and to which car it was to be fitted to. Check you chassis no, the number on the fibreglass should be the same. I cannot think which trimmer signed the panels like this, i think you might get some answers from makeitfit.
Makeitfit where are you!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Jeanette. You're spot on - have just checked and it is indeed the last four digits of the car's chassis number. Just curious and it would be nice to know more. Makeitfit shout

Thanks. Any thoughts on the cartoon style face drawn on the rear of the instrument panel?
