Just curious what kind of uplift do people see on fitting a sports exhaust (i'm getting a dansk on a 996) - elephant quoted 130 quid extra which is basically a 10% uplift...seems alot...

My insurance company was only interested in the mods that increased the BHP. They didn't seem to care about aesthetic or other non-power increasing upgrades (eg, brakes or suspension).

eg, a Manthey K400 loads the premium by 20% (increase as stated by manufacturer is from 360 - 400)

A Plan quoted no additional cost. YMMV.

I have full cargraphic exhaust system, big reds, PSS9's, billet head conversion, live remap, sports cams, Recaro SPG's and 18" 996 wheels on my 993 and the insurance uplift - ZERO! I strongly recommend A Manning. My premium ~£650 fully comp incl unlimited track days.

When I got a quote from A Plan recently they said fitting a sports zorst would probably add £20 pa to the quote. Try em they seem to be very goo.
