Full Spool – or locked centre

Hi all

I was speaking to the electrician that has been doing some work for me around the house yesterday, and we got talking about cars, as you do.

He has just about finished building a car to race in the sports sedan series, starting of with the local Victorian club rounds, first one is on Sat 17th of Feb

Sounds like an interesting car, and I’m going to go along and have a look on the day.

The specs at this stage are
4130 square tube frame chassis
Double a arm suspension all round
Ainti roll bars
Hollinger sequential dog box
Peripheral ported triple rotor 20b engine, normally aspirated
RX7 series 6 Kevlar body work
Racing slicks

And the part of this that was interesting – full spool rear diff, as per class rules

Does anyone know of a or if it would be possible to fit a full spool (locked centre) into a G50 or Getrag style box in place of the diff?

The rest of the specs do not seem that much different to what an Ultima runs, so was wondering if it might be possible to get some of the way towards registering in this class

Don’t know if id need it, was under the impression that it was class rules requirement, still need to look into it if I was going to do it as a track only car.

Just thought id ask the question, as it vaguely interested me.
