100-400 is a cracking lens. Not fantastic at low light but otherwise very good.

A large number of aviation photographers use the 100-400, which is what I use it for mainly.

The only drawback is that it does tend to suck dust onto the sensor, aparently it is nicknamed the "dust trombone."

It is quite a heavy lens, as a couple of spectators found out yesterday when I cracked them over the back of the head by accident headache

BTW what is "sorry" in Spanish confused

In the last 3 pictures are they on inters? It looks quite dry. Interesting to note the Super Aguri has almost exactly the same aggressive sculpting around the rear. I do hope somebody comes up with an excuse to ban the rear wheel aero covers, they look awful.

Is that last shot actually 3 put together. The Ferrari looks a hell of a lot smaller than the McLaren behind if it is real.

what's the max aperture of the 100-400 f4? i think that's the most i get with my 70-300

lol about hitting the spectators on the head with it. i bet they felt it!

am very tempted to get one.

The 100-400 is a 4.5-5.6

I kept the lens hood on, as I thought it would be a bit softer clumping someone with that, than the edge of the filter.

No thats a genuine shot, slightly cropped to centre the pic and a few tweaks for sharpness.

I cannot believe how complex the upper surface of the body is. The Mac shows it the best thanks to the colouring. Amazing.

Agreed. In terms of pure looks, at least. But for me the amount of detail on them is almost beautiful in a technical sense.
