How long do tyres last?

The tyres on my GT03 have done 12000 miles and still seem ok. Easily good enough to get through the MOT test last month. With reasonable care, how many more miles should I expect out of them, and all other things being equal is there any reason to change them before they get towards the legal minimum tread?
When they do need replacing, any advice on where to go. Should I go to a Noble service centre or is if safe to buy new tyres and take them to someone like ATS or Kwik-Fit?

Hi Mate,
Probably not the best person to ask as I'm no expert driver. Broad uses them and he rates them.
I'm doing my first half day track day next month so I'll let you know. Although I think that day will kill them off as there close to needing replacing.
They haven't let me down although I only have a weedy 2.5.
However considering the time of yesr thats aproaching maybe the corsa motorsports are a better choice (but a bit expensive).

I would suggest the Pirelli PZero Rosso N4's. A better tyre all round in all the reviews I could find. The tyre dealer and fitter I use told me it was a no brainer and Micknall also used to say that they are the best SO3 alternative he had driven. I have had them on for maybe 100 miles and the wet weather grip is far better than the SO3's and the dry grip, although not fully tested with hot tyres on warm tarmac, seems every bit as good. I have a TD booked with them on Good Friday.
They are also stock on the Ferrari F430 and Enzo, Porsche GT3, Ford GT etc, which says quite a lot in my book.

Only got 4000 miles on the rear tyres on my skyline, time will tell with the Noble (do have slightly weighty right foot tho..)

P.S. Wouldn't go to Kwik-fit, spotty oik jacking up the body in the wrong place can cause big probs, better to take to a specialist.

Double agree with that - once they repaired a flat on mine by glueing a too small for the hole valve in the wheel, not imediately obvious to my eye. It was so loose when the wheel went flat again I could pull it out with my hand. To try to keep it in they'd use some sort of clear silicone sealant.
They are all bloody idiots and dangerous into the bargain. Hence the slogan - "there's no one thicker than a Kwik Fit fitter". Keep well away.

So if they were sent out to me (in Kent), what's the best way for me to go about getting them fitted? If you paid £550 fitted, were you offered a lower cost for supply only? Thanks for the advice so far.
