Hi folks,

I have just fitted the dash trim & dials / instruments but I did manage to get a few very small blobs of glue on the Alcantara. Does anyone have any tips for getting these off ? NB I have asked Andy at Ultima but am still awaiting his advice. Thanks !

On an unrelated note, does anyone have a picture(s) of how the air con radiator fits against the side of the right hand side petrol tank ? Ultima's manual tackles air con early on but doesn't show the positioning of the rad. It seems a tight squeeze against the tank / side pod.

Am still enjoying the build - am aiming for a mid April "launch" and this still seems possible. If you want to follow my progress you can go to :

www.wappenshall.com/article/ultimagtr.html (click on Build Diary at the top).

Happy building / driving !

There is a foam rubber insert that fits between the tank and side pod inside face. It is only glued to the side pod.
The rad has an ali angle bracket fixed to its base. This points downward and slides between the outside face of the tank and the rubber insert. There is another bracket at the top which fixes to the underside of the return at the top of the side pod.

See here:

If you look at the build time section (left navigation pane) you can use the links to access the various bits of the build.

Thanks CJ - I had printed out the first half of your build diary but need to finish the job. The work's printer is now going like the clappers ...

Air con "rad" now in place

Tony.
