Baby pic - comments/criticism welcome
Discussion
Hi everyone. My wife put our daughter on the bed in the spare room and with a big window nearby it seemed like a great opportunity to run downstairs and grab the camera. I must admit I am really pleased with this shot, but I'll happily listen to any critiques. I did wonder if maybe the position of her legs looks a bit weird, but out of several shots this one looked least odd if you know what I mean.

I like the angle and composition. Now you've mentioned the legs I guess I do think she maybe looks a bit uncomfortable, but then babies often do!
Good depth of field and exposure to my eyes. I think the natural lighting is lovely and you've captured the catchlight in her eyes well. Looks a tiny bit soft but I'm not sure if that's movement (focus looks OK) or just in need of a tiny bit of sharpening for web display. I appreciate you probably want a soft look for the subject.

Thanks for the comments folks
. Some of the other shots I took were at more traditional angles, but the lighting wasn't quite as nice or the focus was a bit off, so i think this one remains my favourite. The other shots are on my pc at home, I might upload some more later.
When I moved into the position for the above shot I thought to myself "this is an unusual angle, wonder if it will work" and a quick rattle of her toy made her crane her neck up a bit. I agree with the comment above, not the best angle, but I still like it. Its also a bit grey, even though I had over exposed to counteract all the white. I think her face is correctly exposed though.
I just can't believe I've not thought of using the spare room for shots before, the big window light gives lovely catchlights in her eyes rather than the messy reflections I usually get.
