Does anyone have any knowledge/history on this car?
I've spoken to the owner who kindly after asking reported of a front end accident, the car has had a new front end fitted by Porsche via insurance, however before viewing i'd like your thoughts with regard to price, future value and the obvious fact that its had a considerable repair.

HHmmmm... the best example available claim, sure it wouldn't be that hard to find one that hasn't been involved in an accident. Initial thoughts were that the price is quite, high probally wrong though. How bad was the accident? Was it cosmetic or was there any serious damage? I'm sure Mr Slippydiff will be able to give a more informed comment on any matters GT2.
Why pay big bucks for something with a history when www.williamloughran.co.uk/ have two without ?
I've made some enquires into what parts were changed on the '04 cars to improve the handling.
The following parts appear to be excatly the same as the earlier cars : - springs, dampers (front and rear), front uprights (hub carriers) front crossmember, front TCAs.
It would appear the only difference is in the actual suspension geometry settings, ie not the components themselves.
On this basis the 04 cars (apart from their rarity value) are no more than an early car with different wheels mirrors and rear wing (if they were specced on the car, as they were only standard on CS cars) and an upgraded ECU.
A sensible alternative would be to fit a decent aftermarket exhaust (most seem to give 20 plus HP) and to speak to Gert at Carnewal for the CF bits and wheels, this would seem preferable to paying through the nose for an 04 model with a questionable history.
P4LNY (now posts as ineedagallardo) who posts on here will be able to give you more info on Swifts as he bought his car off them last year IIRC.

If it's been done well, it will be as new. The driving experience will be perfect.
The only downside is when you sell, you will have to find someone who has the same Philosphy as yourself. On a well repaired car, this can be the only negative point.
Having said that, as good as it is, the price should reflect and "accident damaged car......

have been told Corsa tyres fitted to mathc geo changes - not sure how true that is
also 04 cars may come with PCM2 which was only offered as an option on these cars
'If' it is the car I think it is, then the owner of the garage has been using it for some time. I saw him at a track day at Croft around April/May time last year .... his driving had a lot to be desired .... nailing people on the straights and drove like a Grandma around corners.
He almost recieved some 'non-volentary facial reconstruction' after his antics almost took out a couple of cars at the hairpin when he spun his car, then decided to powerslide across the track.

William Loughran is your man.
Been there many years. Great reputation. Knew my old man and his best mate.
I only wish I could afford a GT2!!!!
Werent William Loughran the people who were selling the heavily modified Gt3 a while back that unceremoniously got smashed to pieces on its maiden voyage from the OPC?This maybe purely hearsay but it did become a legendary story around our parts for a while.I never saw its history mentioned in the advertBeen there many years. Great reputation. Knew my old man and his best mate.
