Hello all...Long time reader, first time poster. I had an 83 turbo and sold it a couple years ago. I finally am in the finacial postion to buy another. I recently purchased a 94 red/tan. I am currently working in Europe..the Balkins to be exact and may be going to a more "dry" climate if you know what I mean. Anyway, I bought the car sight unseen as a good friend of mine that runs a Lotus Ferrari Jag repair shop (who I became very familiar with after buying my 83 turbo) knows the car and atteseted that he has serviced it and said it is in excellent condition. I probably won't get to see her in person until August at the earliest and maybe another year from now. The car is completly stock except for the stereo. I plan on keeping it that way except for the wheels. Finally, my question....Does anyone know of a good wheel retailer that has a decent wbesite with pictures and have wheels that fit the Esprit's? Thanks for any info.

What sort of wheels are you after? Lotus ones or aftermarket ones? Not a huge amount of choice either way. OZ AWI's or Saturns from the V8, OZ splits from the S4s, OZ's from the sport 350, or the latest V8 OZ wheels from the MY03 Esprit. South West Lotus Centre normally have most wheels in stock. Not cheap though. Mention Lotus Esprit World if you call them.

To check your options see the link below for all the different wheels that the Esprit has woren over the years.

For aftermarket wheels I've heard that Compomotive are about the only make you can go for, but I'm sure others can help there. See Les Twigg's page for some of their Esprit fitting stuff

Mention Lotus Esprit World if you call Les, I'm always telling him I getting people to go to his site. Theres a link on my links page.

Thanks for the info. I think I will go with the Compomotives, but now for the technical question. I would like to go with 18", but what should be my width limit for the front and rear respectivly? I like the wider wheels, but I don't want to get to a point where it is too wide and gets to a point of damagaing something. Thanks again.

You should be ok with the same sizes that the v8 has, ie 8.5J X 17 front and 10J x 18-inch rear.

For an aftermarket solution, my PO had Kinesis Supercup rims made with Lotus center caps for my Esprit.

Thanks for the info guys. Mikey, nice car and site. I actually ran across it the other day. Now you siad he had the wheels made with the Lotus centercap. Do you mean the entire wheels had to be made or just the center cap? I mean does this company have these wheels in the proper fitment without a special order? And, any suggestions for a retailor of this wheel?
