Just came across a 996 TT with GT2 bodykit on a 52 plate for quite a reasonable price (£53k). However there's a couple of things not so sure about as it is a 4 owner car (even though it has only covered 23k and is in excellent condition), and it is in jet black which I have reservations that is is not metallic basalt which may show up scratches even more. Plus there's no PCM but TBH, I can live without.

I thought about putting a £49k bid just to test the water as I'm mindful that I would be trying to sell a 5 owner car in x years time and prospective buyers would be asking the exact same thing??

Opinions please.

Mines had 4 owners on an 02 plate. I don't think it's the issue that it used to be. It didn't put me off. How often would youlike to change YOUR car? Many people that have enough money to buy 911 Turbos like to change their cars often....

Don't forget your warranty and then you're all sorted!

Sounds nice.

I considered this very car a year ago.

Love the GT2 aerokit and its the only one I found for sale with it factory-fitted.

But like you the flat blakc and no PCM put me off.

No of oweners is fine for a 4 year old Porsche. Why not go see and have a good look at paintwork to see how much of a nightmare it would be and come back and let us know as I for one would be interested (and maybe I will kick myself!).

Hope you buy it if the bid is accepted. Rather than completely waste the seller's time of course !

amare32 - car sounds really nice, dont worry about number of owners, look at the people on here, some change to another car every 3 months (some less! *cough* nerv)

5 is a run of the mill number to be fair, if it had 2 id wonder if it had been sat in a garage for a year or two, and thats when you get problems, expensive problems . . . .

if its been run regular and you like it buy it, number of owners means nothing.

enjoy.

Thanks for the advice chaps. I guess most important thing is to buy on condition. Will view the car this weekend as it is going through preparation. Seriously thinking about buying as it the GT2 factory kit is a bonus. I have seen pics of it last year when it was advertised at OPC.
