Help... puncture or vandalism..?
Discussion
Just came back from a weeklong business trip to find that my rear left tyre on my 997C2S was totally flat.
The weird thing was that on closer inspection the cap for the valve was slightly loose. I check my tyre pressures fairly regularly and always make sure the caps are on tight. This made me think that maybe some chav has let my tyre down instead of a puncture.
I limped to my local petrol station and reinflated the tyre. This morning the tyre seemed ok but given that I left the car for a week during my trip it could be a slow puncture rather than vandalism.
I once had a rear blow out in an M3 at 90mph that scared the hell out of me so am a bit paranoid about driving the car unless I know for sure its not a puncture.
Short of checking the tyre pressure every morning for a week is there another way I can get the tyre checked out?? Couldn't see any damage or nails, etc
Cheers in advance
Erik.

Have heard of young scrotes using a valve 'key' to loosen them and let the air out maliciously in the past so this may have happened to you?
Edited to say that if your tyre pressure has held up since then its unlikely that someone 'pulled' your valve. Keep an eye on your pressure over the next few days to rule out a slow puncture. Have had a tyre lose pressure very slowly through alloy corrosion in the past.

Did you drive to the garage on the flat tyre??
If it wasn't knackered before - it is now!

Just what i thought. Sorry to pi$$ on your day but if you weren't thinking of a new tyre when you first posted this you should be now. the side wall will most likely have suffered damage at the very least.
